Today education is regarded as the key factor for sustainable development, the preferred instrument to promote economic growth, the antidote against unemployment, the engine of technological progress, and the gold passport for individual success.
Dedicated to to support (help) poor children and youth living in poor countries to provide access to education, Children and Youth Scholarship Program was created in April 2012, by Donald Deus. Three (3) years after its launch, it covers two departments in Haiti: North and North East. When launched in September 2012 the program sponsored 17 children in Cap-Haitien, sparking joy in the hearts of many desperate parents.
In 2013-2014, the program tripled the number of its grants. Fifty-one (51) children living in the Cap-Haitian and Ouanaminthe have received scholarships (full and partial) and school materials. In Haiti, Children and Youth Scholarship Program strives to meet the needs of struggling Haitian families. As of 2015, more than seventy three (73) children have enjoyed the support of the program.
