MISSION AND VALUES
International Cooperation To Support Children and Youth is a humanitarian, christian, non-profit organization, recognized by the Haitian government, dedicated to:
- helping children and youth around the world,
- assisting social and economic needs of families in poor countries.
- assisting social and economic needs of families in poor countries.
International Cooperation To Support Children and Youth works with children and young people to promote morality, seek justice, mental and social transformation. We work in the most difficult contexts in Haiti. When we partner with children and youth, we help to develop and transform their lives and environment.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Donald Deus was born in July 1991, in Haiti. His father, Jonas Deus, is pastor, his mother is a nurse, and his brother is an Obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GN). He finished high school at eighteen (18) years old, and has a Bachelor's degree in Theology. He loves God, and dedicates his life to serving Him.
In July 2008, when he was 17 years old, he founded International Cooperation To Support Children and Youth. It was not easy for him when he wanted to start with the organization. Humiliated and discouraged by some people, he didn't give up with his dream.
In 2010, many friends and adults in Haiti told him he was crazy and he would never realize his dreams because he was too young. Even his parents had doubts sometimes about the future of International Cooperation To Support Children and Youth, but Donald Deus didn't listen to them. He never gave-up. To find money to help people, Donald Deus has offered courses in secondary schools, in Cap Haitian. He has also received assistance from his parents and brother.
With his courage, he is like a hero. Persecuted and threatened by some in Haiti, he never gives up when faced with obstacles. In July 2013, at the 5th anniversary of the organization in Haiti, he declared: "I know where I'm going. I'm never discouraged. Light and darkness can never cooexist".
Two years later, in the 7th anniversary of International Cooperation To Support Children and Youth, he declared: " I like the present challenges because they force me to develop new strategies to overcome all future obstacles." Today, Donald Deus is one of the youngest founders of an organization in Haiti.

HOW DOES INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AND YOUTH WORK?
International Cooperation To Support Children and Youth teaches children and youth about life skilles steeped in human and christian values, to help guide them to a succesful future. Our staff members begin by analyzing the needs of communities. Together, we build a plan and get to work. Every six months, we evaluate the work to see our success. If we haven't meet our goals, we develop more strategies and continue our work.
In fact, teaching is one of fundamental tasks of the Cooperation. Delivered through courses, conferences and seminars, it has set the following. The pedagogy used by the International Cooperation to Support Children and Youth involves a combination of regular attendance of active members, and paticipation in both group work and discussions by members and teachers.

Our staff is dedicated to learning more about the communities and identifying youth who can benefit the program.
Every two (2) years, Certificate of Recognition award to all members who have succesfully completed the program. Certificate of Excellence are awarded to volunteers who have demonstrated excellent service.
